AMVETS Auxiliary

Eligibility for membership in AMVETS Auxiliary is available to mothers, wives, daughters and sisters or regular members of AMVETS, and deceased veterans who were AMVETS, or would have been eligible for membership in the AMVETS, and is at least eighteen years old.

Sons of AMVETS

Eligibility for membership in the Sons of AMVETS is limited to all male descendants, adopted sons, stepsons, fathers, husbands, widowers and brothers of MVET members, deceased AMVET members or deceased service personnel who would have been eligible for membership in the parent organization, and is at least eighteen years old.

Junior AMVETS

Eligibility for membership in the Junior AMVETS is limited to the sons, daughters, brothers and sisters, and grandchildren of AMVETS, deceased members of AMVETS, and members of the Auxiliary and servicemen who died and who would have been eligible for membership in the AMVETS, including all children that they may be legal
guardian of, from the ages of seven to, and including, seventeen years.

Meeting Times

AMVET meetings are held on the first Thursday of every month at 7:00pm.

Ladies Auxiliary meets on 1st Wed at 6:30pm.

Sons meet at the Fish-fry on 1st Friday.

• Legislation Your membership helps us guide the hand that slices the pie. If you don’t sit at the table, you’re the meal! We hold our government accountable to veterans. A video about you.
• Impact! Rolling to Remember (formerly Rolling Thunder), the rally in DC was cancelled this year. We still showed up in DC and the White House is aware of our concerns about the military suicide rate and MIA’s.

• Posts are distributing food and making masks throughout America! Your membership supports our work. Costs you about 10 cents a day. Look in the couch.

AMVETS POST 72 is accepting bottle return donations. Not only will this help to clear your clutter but it will help us pay some bills during these past couple months of being in lockdown. As a 501C charity, we didn’t qualify for State funds or the Federal payroll protection funds so we are struggling like so many of you are. If you are in a position to help by donating empty bottles and cans, we ask that they be put into trash bags and left in our pavilion.
